PEDIATRICIANS ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

REGISTER

About us

Hamilton Pediatrics has a dedicated team of pediatricians to take care of your children. Our care ranges from urgent pediatric care and routine care to allergy and asthma specialty care. All pediatricians are certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Our Services

Primary/Routine Care

In primary care, we offer immunizations, child wellness visits, routine check-ups, and sick visits. Your pediatrician will discuss your child’s growth and development per the Canadian Pediatric Society guidelines and if you have any questions.

Pediatric Urgent Care

Our goal is to help your child with minimal waiting times and reduced stress, specifically when dealing with non-life-threatening conditions that may otherwise require you to visit the emergency room, like fever, cough, rash, earache, and abdominal pain. Our clinic does not require appointments to see our pediatrics for urgent care conditions and will always accept walk-ins and new patients. Our pediatricians strongly recommend you consult your family physician or regular pediatrician before visiting Halton pediatrics. Certain conditions, such as behavioral or learning disorders and developmental or speech delay, are not considered to be seen as a walk-in or an urgent care basis to see one of our pediatricians due to the long-term care that may be required.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are the best way to protect your child from various dangerous diseases. The primary purpose of vaccinations is to encourage the body to create a stronger immune system in order to protect itself from diseases. Halton Pediatrics offer all recommended provincial vaccination, and our pediatricians can discuss with you if you have any questions or concerns about vaccinations.

Pediatric Allergy Clinic

Allergies are also called “hay fever,” which can occur due to a reaction between the immune system and substances, or “allergens,” which usually do not cause a reaction. Our allergist can assess your child for possible allergic triggers, like drugs, food, environment, and pets. You will require a referral from your child’s family doctor so we can book an appointment with our allergist.

Pediatric Asthma Clinic

Asthma is a lung disease that presents with acute asthma exacerbations and reversible airflow obstruction. It develops most often in childhood and is triggered later on by allergens such as dust, pollen, and certain animals. Still, there are other triggers, such as cold air, exercise, medications, and viral infections. At Halton Pediatrics, our pediatric asthma specialist offers parents and their children with asthma; diagnosis, management, education, and follow-up access to help manage their asthma.

Telemedicine

Telemedicine is a physician/patient encounter that occurs remotely with visual/audio/IM (Instant Messaging) about diagnosis, monitoring, and treat patients who cannot physically appear in the clinic. The standard of care that is used in the clinic is also used within the realm of Telemedicine, meeting all of the legal and professional obligations outlined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Pediatric Travel Clinic

Our Pediatric Travel Clinic is a one-stop medical clinic where your kids can receive counseling, vaccinations, and prescriptions before traveling. We recommend scheduling an appointment at our travel clinic two weeks before your designated travel date. Travel consultation visits and travel vaccinations are NOT covered by OHIP. APPOINTMENTS ONLY
